After nearly two decades, the time has finally come: the legendary 12 Cellists of the Berlin Philharmonic return to the magnificent Musiksaal of the Stadtcasino Basel for the first time since their acclaimed Basel debut in 2007 – with an explosive programme ranging from classical music to jazz-groove, chanson and tango.
The ensemble transforms twelve cellos into a full orchestra, soaring from hymn-like romanticism to Broadway flair and into the fiery world of Buenos Aires tango – showing why their unmistakable sound has been celebrated worldwide for over 50 years.
