At the Tanzhaus Basel in the Franck-Areal, an evening unfolds between galaxies, nebulae and dream worlds: No Longer Navigating by a Star.

 

Electric guitarist Yaron Deutsch, bassist Uli Fussenegger, and an ensemble, including percussion, lead the audience through a program of ethereal, galactic music where time and space merge. The evening takes place in the former chicory silo of Tanzhaus Basel – a space with a raw, industrial aura, whose archaic architecture impressively reflects the mystical soundscape of these works. In a piece by the spectral master Tristan Murail, two Ondes Martenot, played by Ludovic van Hellemont and Tatiana Touliankina, open an acoustic window into other-worldly dimensions.
