A guided tour through the St. Alban district with dialect researcher and SRF journalist Markus Gasser focuses on Basel dialect, and in particular the "Dalbenesisch" dialect. Using the district and its linguistic peculiarities as a starting point, Gasser explores how dialects originate, change, and shape local identity. Language is thus explored directly in the place where it is spoken, passed down, and transformed across generations.
